Posted
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Donna Lynn Sulu, who was tragically taken from us on February 18, 2025, at the age of 62. Born on September 5, 1962, in Los Angeles, California, to J.F. and Shannon Crowell, Donna was a beloved daughter, mother, sister, aunt, and friend whose warmth and kindness touched countless lives.

Above all else, Donna was a mother in every sense of the word. Not only to her own children but to everyone fortunate enough to know her. She was the devoted mother of Cameron, Justin, and Austin, raising them with unwavering love, boundless patience, and endless laughter. Her boys were her greatest joy, the very heart of her world. She cheered them on, lifted them up, and gave them a childhood filled with love and adventure. Now, she joins her beloved son, Austin, and her cherished mother, Shannon, in eternal peace, reunited in love and light.

Donna’s love knew no bounds. She had a gift for making everyone feel seen, heard, and deeply cared for. Whether through a listening ear or one of her famous warm hugs. Children adored her, drawn to her nurturing spirit as if she were their own. Her home and heart were always open, a sanctuary of laughter, kindness, and unconditional love.

She was a cherished sister to Michael, David, and James. She was not just their sibling, but their greatest source of laughter and joy. Whether sharing old memories or cracking jokes that could brighten any moment, Donna made every moment special. She is survived by her fiancé, Glynn McLean, and her treasured nieces and nephews Brandon, Arianna, Noah, Shay, and Cody. All of whom she loved as if they were her own. She filled their lives with encouragement, affection, and the constant reminder that they always had someone in their corner.

For Donna, family was everything. When she was around, family gatherings were never ordinary. They were filled with storytelling, deep belly laughs, and the kind of love that made you never want to leave. Her quick wit, unmistakable unique laugh, and endless supply of jokes turned even the simplest moments into cherished memories. She had a way of bringing people together and making every moment shine a little brighter.

Donna was known for her overflowing kindness, infectious laughter, and her sense of humor. She never met a stranger, everyone she encountered became family. She dedicated much of her time to supporting youth sports when her boys were growing up, always finding ways to encourage and uplift those around her. She was the ultimate team mom, a beacon of support and spirit.

Her loss leaves an immeasurable void, but her love will live on in the hearts of all who were lucky enough to know her. May we carry forward her compassion, her humor, and her rare ability to make everyone feel loved.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date to honor Donna’s memory, with details to be shared with family and friends.

Donna was truly one of a kind. A mother figure to many, a friend to all, and a radiant light in the lives of everyone she met. Though she is gone, her love will never fade. As she takes her place among the stars, may she fly high, forever shining brightly in our hearts.
