Nelson passed away peacefully at his home in Squirrel Valley on February 3, 2026. Nelson was a long time resident of the Kern River Valley after owning his own mechanic's garage when he was younger, to later retiring from TRW in the Los Angeles area and moving here with his wife Peggy to enjoy the rural life style .
Nelson was a man of many talents, including being a machinist, an auto mechanic, and all around good guy with a wealth of knowledge and was always available to listen to and help or advise his friends and family any time the need arose. Nelson will be missed by all who knew him. We bid him a sad and respectful goodbye. May he rest in peace.
