Kathi Anne Wright, 72, was found passed away in her home in Grants Pass, Oregon on June 11, 2025.
Kathi was born on August 13, 1952 in Long Beach, California - then proceeded to live anywhere less populated - including Guam, Idaho, several small towns in California, and Oregon.
A hard worker for most of her life, Kathi would instead prefer we remember her for her hobbies: she was a published author of Six-Word Memoirs, as well as a frenetic writer of limericks, poetry, and other ditties. Her visual art endeavors produced a steady supply of hand-drawn sketches, paintings, and protest signs. She was a voracious bibliophile, prolific crafter, and ally to underdogs everywhere. When feeling well, she enjoyed hiking, camping, taking road trips, and exploring this wondrous land.
Her friends have described Kathi as down-to-earth and wise, with a whimsical heart, sense of humor, and creativity that will be deeply missed.
Kathi is survived by her daughter Caitlin Wright and son-in-law J. Norris, her grandsons Isaiah Moreno and Zaiden Bradbury, all in Oregon; her mother Mary Solwold and step-father Gene of Alabama; her brother Robert Wright IV and sister-in-law Lilian of California; several amazing cousins; nieces and nephews; her beloved dog Arlo; and many wonderful and far-flung friends she has made throughout her life.
She is predeceased by her father, Robert Wright III; and her much-loved aunts Ruth McNeese and Cathy Householder.
Direct disposition arranged by Chapel of the Valley - L.B. Hall Funeral Home in Grants Pass. In memory of Kathi’s adventurous spirit, ashes will be spread in various locales of beauty and significance.
