Jeana Tackett Rooffener

Posted

A free spirit and passionate mom, Jeana Marie Tackett was born December 21st, 1964 to Bud Tackett and Diane DesChaine. Jeana was raised by her mom, Helen Shafer, alongside her five siblings: David, Paul, Donovan, Sherry, and Shelly.

Growing up, Jeana was an adventurous, fun, beautiful girl. She rode skateboards, bicycles, and eventually motorcycles to go buy candy, ice cream, or just cruise around. She was sure to have her younger sisters or cousin in tow wherever she went. She grew up in Arleta, but was no city girl. Moving to the Lake Isabella area around the age of eleven, Jeana took to the country like she was always there, camping and exploring. She was always fun to be around and enjoyed telling stories, making people laugh, and being the life of the party. She was a strong girl who grew into a strong woman.

Jeana met the love of her life, Mike Rooffener (her brother's best friend) around sixteen. They dated for four years and were married in June of 1984. She cared deeply about people and animals often bringing home stray dogs and occasionally friends in need to help them get back on their feet. She loved being a mom and raised her two children, Jessica and Michael-Paul, to be independent, strong, and caring people. She helped her neighbor raise their three youngest children as an after-school sitter; they refer to her as their bonus mom. She left a lasting impact on all that knew her.

Jeana passed away of a broken heart on February 2nd, 2026 following the passing of her love and life partner, Mike. Her daughter stayed by her side ensuring she knew she was loved until the end. Family was an integral part of her life and Jeana will be greatly missed.
