Beautiful, caring, loving, kind, and giving are only a few of the many words that describe Cathy. Those who knew her well knew this to be true. She loved living in the valley and genuinely cared for everyone she knew — no matter if she grew up with them, crossed paths briefly, or met them only once. Cathy loved all !
Cathy never hesitated to share a kind word, a cheerful smile, or a heartfelt conversation. She never spoke unkindly and had a rare gift of making everyone she met feel loved and important. She loved trips to the mountains, where it was peaceful, air was fresh and her spirit felt free. Cathy cherished reading her Bible and sharing her favorite scriptures and passages. She loved meaningful, long talks with friends, family and loved ones, always offering positivity and help whenever she could.
Fun little facts about Cathy- She loved Princess Diana and collecting her memorabilia, loved Red Door perfume, loved jewelry and always dressed nicely. Loved trips to Bakersfield to shop and see her favorite hairdresser. When Cathy was younger, she was very crafty and loved sewing and crocheting and teaching craft classes at church. She loved Bunco and Bowling leagues. Cathy also enjoyed good food, snacks and Gordon’s famous “Bullmeat & Beans!”.
Cathy loved and cherished family..And adored her Brothers and Sister. Their childhood memories will live on and be cherished always.
Above all, Cathy was the BEST Nana! She deeply loved her Grandbabies and Daughters — “The lights of her life.” She wore the titles of “Mom” and “Nana” proudly, and cherished them until her last breath.
We are not saying goodbye, for Cathy lives on in our hearts and memories — walking beside us and watching over us always.
