It is with deep sadness to announce the passing of our brother “Andy” Mace (Andrew Bill Mace) who passed away on December 14, 2025. Andy was born July 9, 1965. He was a native of the Kern River Valley. Lived here most of his life. Residing in Oregon a few years, and Oklahoma. Proud Native American of the Paiute Tribe. Always well groomed. Wearing his native choker, beaded hat band, Wranglers and boots. Playing his country music loud and living life to the fullest.
Preceded in death by his father, Nathan C. Mace Sr; brothers, Mark D. Mace Sr, and Paul C. Mace.
Andy is survived by his loving mother, Pauline J. Mace, brother Nathan C. Mace Jr., sisters Colleen Alvary, Patricia Vigil, Natalie Bennet-Mace, Judy Mace, Pauline R. Mace, Yvonne Knopf, Loretta Mace, Sherry Mace, Lisa Martinez. Brother in-laws Richard “Rocky” Alvary, Shane Martinez, Steve Knopf, Rick Bennet, Jim Martin, and many nieces and nephews.
Andy worked as a flooring installer. Was known as a hard-working man. He also operated heavy equipment, some local cowboying, and he appeared in the HBO series Westworld as a double for Zahn McClarnon as character Akecheta.
Andy had a great sense of humor, enjoyed karaoke, and all the adventures life had to offer. With his bright inviting smile, he was a social butterfly. Had many friends in many places. Always willing to help if he could. Really good at kicking around hacky sack at family gatherings. Moments that brought many laughs and will be clearly missed.
Andy was a loving son, brother, uncle, and friend. Loved and missed by all who knew him. May God rest his soul and guide his peaceful journey.
