Hello Kern River Valley,
I want to begin by welcoming our newest members to the family, “Holcomb and Associates” David Holcomb who performs process serving and skip tracing. Give them a call if you need his services.
Its hard to believe we are already half way through 2024. This means the heat is here and we need to be aware of the dangers in our elevated outdoor temperatures while performing routine tasks around the homestead.
These next two weeks are going to be very hot so utilize the cooling systems of your home and or the cooling station at the senior center in Lake Isabella while staying hydrated. Just be cautious as this heat has the ability to cause serious health issues.
July 4, 2024 you will see flags on the Blvd as we celebrate Independence Day, thank you to the volunteers who make this happen!
July 6, 2024 you will be excited for another year as we celebrate our independence with a fireworks display off engineer point. The show will take place at approximately 9pm by Zambelli Fireworks. Without the hard work and dedication of Mike Smith, Candice Williams Aguilar and Mr. Steve Spradlin’s team we would have lost our annual fireworks display. Make sure to thank them for there dedication to the KRV.
On July 10, 2024 at the general membership meeting in Mnt. Mesa which is held at the Eagle Lodge, your chamber of commerce will have Mr. Orion Sanders as our guest speaker. Mr. Sanders is the newly appointed manager of our local cemetery, please come out for the luncheon as we can gain some insight into what might be taking place in the not to distant future with our cemetery and it grounds.
July 18, 2024 at 6:00pm we will be co-hosting a Firewise Communities meeting at the Senior Center in Lake Isabella. Ms. Wendy Ward with Kern Fire Safe Council and your chamber of commerce want to lead the way for our valley in becoming a Firewise Community. It will be critical in the near future on multiple levels, from coming regulation changes to discounts on your home owner’s insurance. You can RSVP for the event by contacting the Kern River Valley Chamber of Commerce, seating is limited to 100 people.
