Two people were found dead in a burning home in Inyokern the morning of March 29, according to the Kern County Fire Department.
According to a news release, KCFD was dispatched to a reported house fire with possible victims trapped inside on the 1500 block of North Calvert Boulevard just after 3:15 a.m. Upon arrival, firefighters found a single-story modular home approximately 1400 square feet in size, with 75 percent of the structure on fire.
While conducting a search of the home, KCFD said two were found dead. The identities of those people will be released at a later date by the Kern County Coroner’s Office.
No further injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire is under investigation, according to KCFD.
