Senior citizens enjoyed a pre July Fourth dance at the Kern River Valley Senior Center, Wednesday evening, July 3. The band called “The Misfits” played many familiar oldies tunes from yonder years. Members of the group told the Kern Valley Sun that the group of seniors attending their dances regularly dwindled because of COVID and they were hoping to restore it to its previous numbers from those days of glory. They’re welcoming
others to join them. The group often enjoys desserts, coffee and beverages, along with air conditioning, couples dancing, and line dancing.
