Little League swings into action

Only three games of lower division Little League action were submitted for this week. Minor Softball and two Major Softball games.

Minor Softball

The Purple Cobras faced the Riptides. The Purple Cobras snaked their way to an 8-5 win. The Cobras took the early lead 3-0 by scoring three times in their first at bat. The Riptides took over the lead as they produced five run sin the third inning. The Cobras took back control as they scored five times in the fourth to give them the victory.

There was only one hit in the game. Bev collected the lone hit for the Cobras. She would also score twice. Scoring two runs each for the Cobras were Sadie and Lexington. Touching the home dish once were Skyla and Kinsley.

The Riptides got scoring from Paige, Kinsley, Presley, Addison, and Kenzie. They each scored one run apiece.

Major Softball

The Violet Vipers escaped with the 12-10 win over the Ninja Kitties. The Vipers jumped out early as they score 10 runs in the first two innings. They would hold on as the Kitties tried to rally. 

There were only two recorded hits in the contest. Trinity of the Kitties had the lone two hits in the game. The Vipers were led by Temperence who scored three times. Emerie and Danny each scored two runs. Scoring once for the Vipers were Anjan, Harper, Veda, Ashley, and Jules. Hunter scored twice for the Kitties to lead the team. Katie, Trinity, Maddox, Charlet, Chloe, Harper, Kaylie, and Krystabel each scored one run.

Ninja Kitties 20 – Bounty Hunters 15

The Kitties scored five runs in each of the four innings they batted. As a team they collected four hits in the game. Skylar had two hits, while Maddox and Trinity had one hit apiece. Maddox and Kiera each came around to score three runs to lead the Kitties. Hunter, Katie, Trinity, Elyce each scored two runs. Scoring once were Skylar, Ruby, Krystabel, Kaylie, Chloe, and Charlet each scored one run.

The Bounty Hunters banged out 12 hits as a team. Kimber had three hits, while Rebecca and Eadynn each had two hits. Addie, Olivia, Haylee, Lila, and Payton each had one hit. Payton scored three times, while Rebecca, Eadynn and Elsie each scored two runs. Olivia, Haylee, Kimber, and Natalie each touched the home dish one time apiece.

T-Ball games will be played Tuesday, Thursday and Saturdays at the First Baptist Church in Lake Isabella. Games times for the weekday games are 5:30 p.m. Saturday games are at 9 a.m.

Coach Pitch games will be played on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday at Wallace Field. Games times for weekday games are 5:30 p.m. and Saturday games are at 10 a.m. and 12 noon.

Minor Girls Softball games are played on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday at Randall Field in Kernville. Games times for the weekday games are 5:30 p.m. Saturday games are at 9 a.m.

Minor Boys Baseball games are played on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday at Mt. Mesa Park. Games times for the weekday games are 5:30 p.m. Saturday games are at 9 a.m.

Major Girls Softball games are played on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday at Randall Field in Kernville. Games times for the weekday games are 5:30 p.m. Saturday games are at 12 noon

Major Boys Baseball games are played on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday at Mt. Mesa Park. Games times for the weekday games are 5:30 p.m. Saturday games are 12 noon.
