It was a solid night of entertainment when Zen Zeppelin, which is a Led Zeppelin tribute band, rocked Kernville, Friday August 23. This was one show in a month worth of weekly River Rhythms concerts. This particular performance filled Circle Park with concertgoers.
The annual concert series is a benefit to raise donations for Kern Valley Hospital Foundation.
Local Karaoke mobile disc jockey, Billy Bob was master of ceremonies that evening for the concert. He said, “The Kern Valley Hospital Foundation wants to welcome our community to the fourth concert in the park featuring Zen Zeppelin. It’s going to be a fun night tonight.”
This event was to raise money for scholarships to Kern River Valley high school students for college. The mission of Kern Valley Hospital Foundation is to provide financial support to the Kern Valley Hospital by funding and supporting programs that have a positive impact on patients and the community
Billy Bob encouraged the public to donate to the pink ladies collecting money at the event. He said, “Donate big because all the money from this goes to some scholarships for our local high school kids.”
This show, which Pizza Barn sponsored, was of particular interest to fans of the original band, Led Zeppelin, which rose to stardom in the late 1960s.
Zen Zeppelin started off the show with the Led Zeppelin song Rock and Roll, which listeners can find here at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D2lSwosw9xY.
Their lineup also included the song Celebration. To listen to the original song check out this link. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KMQdiHIZgSo&list=RDKMQdiHIZgSo&start_radio=1
Band members for the tribute band, Zen Zeppelin are Cory Kyle, Brandon Kaiser, Adrian Manuel and Stephan Henager.

Thal insurance, Kernville Saloon and Hotel, Lake Linx, OnPoint Gym. Pizza Barn QualCare, Sun Power, and West America Bank.
In 2011, recently passed away Charlie Busch, who was former owner of Kern River Radio, founded the River Rhythms Concert Series. His vision was to provide the valley with a series featuring bands, for a family fun community event that would also be a fundraiser.
