The Wallace Middle School seventh-grade volleyball squad took their next step in grabbing a win. They swept Haven Drive in two sets to gain the victory.
The difference in the match was the serving as the Wallace team, was able to put the ball in play with their serves. As a team, the Lady Colts delivered 37 made serves in the match. Along the way they collected a match total of 12 serving aces. Combine this with the net play, the drive to victory was a two set win.
Wallace took control of the match with a first set win by the score of 25-17. They closed out the match on by winning the second set in a closer score. The final tally was Wallace 25, Haven Drive 21. Once again, the serves made the difference as the Lady Colts dropped in a team total of 14 serves that were in play. They were led by Maddoxx Armes with 14 made serves, including five that went for aces. Charlet Eastes followed by dropping in nine serves, including three aces. Emma Alfred finished with seven made serves. Dani Brooks was next up with four made serves, three of those were aces. Riley Gibson totaled two made serves, while Savannah Olague capped off the serves made with one. At the net, Eastes was the top hitter as she recorded five kills for Wallace.
