The Kern County Sheriff’s office has been investigating a case wherein a local parent uncovered the accusations that a Kern Valley High School teacher, Christopher David Renaudo, a grade 10 history teacher, was on unpaid leave under suspicion the 28 year old instructor contacted a minor for sex through text messages, school officials initially stated.
However authorities arrested Renaudo April 4 and he was arraigned Monday, April 8 an Eyewitness News report revealed. The suspect pleaded not guilty to other charges, which the school first minimized.
News reporters uncovered the fact that a Kern County court website listed other charges, aside from contacting the minor, which included sexual penetration with a foreign object, oral copulation with a minor, sexual battery, and exhibiting harmful behavior to the underage victim.
Eyewitness News further confirmed, through an unnamed school representative, that the district had not sent notifications to parents of Kern Valley High School students about the alleged crime.
