Young and young at heart

On Friday, September 27, the Kern Valley Hospital Skilled Nursing Facility visited South Fork Middle School’s After-School program. The Adopt-A-Grandparent program was organized by Activity Supervisor Susie Seeger. This program gives the children and the elderly an opportunity to meet and do activities together. The expression on the faces of the residents as the children filed into the cafeteria was that of pure excitement. They took turns hitting balloons in the air with their foam sticks. It was heartwarming to see the residents lost in the moment.
