William E. Webb went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 10, 2020, at home after a brief illness. He leaves behind his wife, Evelyn, daughter Cathy, son-in-law Jerry, grandson Kelly, granddaughter Lauren, and brother Charles. He is preceded in death by his son, Curtis E. Leber, his brother, Richard Webb, and his parents Fred and Margaret Webb.
Bill was born on June 22, 1930, in Lynwood, Calif. He enlisted in the Army in January 1949. He served two years of active duty and six years in the Army Reserve. Upon his discharge, he began working at the Los Angeles Unified School District where he spent his entire career until finally retiring as Deputy Director of Maintenance overseeing 750 schools. He was able to retire at 55 and he and Evie built their dream house in Wofford Heights, Calif. He enjoyed many years of hunting, fishing, hiking, gardening, and volunteering at their church. He was passionate about his work at Shepherd of the Hills and served in various positions over 30 years. His main hobby was Bible study and he enjoyed teaching Bible classes.
We would like to thank the amazing community of friends and family who have supported us through this difficult time. We truly are so grateful. We are thankful for the wonderful care he received from Dr. Ravi Patel and his amazing staff, as well as, the exceptional in-home care from John Kuttig.
