The Kern Valley track team had to postpone their first home meet of the year due to adverse weather conditions.
The track was unsuitable for competition and the meet scheduled with High Desert League opponent, Cal City was postponed.
Both Kern Valley teams were looking to get out of the starting blocks early in the HDL, but Mother Nature had other plans.
After she dumped loads of precipitation over the past couple of weeks, the meet was postponed for safety reasons.
This meet will be rescheduled to take place on April 3 when Kern Valley travels to Boron.
Instead of a dual meet this will now be a tri-team meet.
Kern Valley’s track squads will be back in action today as they travel to Bishop to face off with their rival.
