Vicki Lynn Dicksen

Vicki Lynn Dicksen
Dec. 27, 1956 - July 24, 2018

Vicki was born in Cincinatti, OH, two days after Christmas, to Montgomery and Katherine Sims. Vicki was the oldest of three daughters. The family moved to Compton, Calif., in 1962. Vicki graduated from Rancho Alamitos High School in 1975 and resided in San Diego soon after. She came to the Kern River Valley in 1992, where she had various jobs, which included R.J.R’s, Shell in Kernville, and the Bargain Box.
It was then she started having some medical issues but overcame them. She eventually went back to school and received her real estate license, which landed her at Century 21 and then on to Southern Sierra Properties for about 6 years. She had to retire due to having a major stroke. Her husband became her “caregiver” and did so very well. In May of 2018, new medical issues arose and put her in the hospital off and on for 5 to 6 weeks. Her recovery from a bypass surgery wasn’t going too well and she sadly passed away at home unexpectedly.
She’s preceded in death by her husband, Donald Dicksen; mother Katherine Irving; step-father Michael Irving; nephew Jason Wesala; aunt Barbara Tolle; uncle Don Tolle; cousin Sheryl Muncy; father Montgomery Sims; step-mother Jane Sims; aunt Nancy Kalb; uncle Karl Kalb; uncle Wiliam Tolle and aunt Jean Tolle.
