USFS makes arrest for illegal OHV

Press Release

Due to numerous complaints about off-highway vehicles riding illegally in the South Lake and Mountain Mesa areas, local law enforcement agencies have been making extra patrol checks in the area. On December 6, a U.S. Forest Service Agent saw Alan Vessey, 20, of Mountain Mesa riding an off-highway motorcycle illegally on a private ranch near Mountain Mesa. Vessey fled when the officer approached, but he was later found and detained by a Kern County Deputy. Vessey was arrested and booked at CRF for trespassing, driving without a license, having an unregistered vehicle on a highway, riding without a helmet and possession of drug paraphernalia.
