Campgrounds have been ramping up for the exciting summer season of tourists coming to the Kern River Valley for recreation at the lake, river, and mountains.
Kern River’s Edge Campground told the Kern Valley Sun, Wednesday May 29, that they have been getting requests from visitors to advise where customers could charge their electric vehicles.
Vice president of the campground, Rhonda Stallone said, “We have a finite number of powered campsites where we allow EV charging and beyond this we have so few options around the KRV. My thought is to make it easy for EV drivers to know where they can top-off or charge up before they arrive to the KRV, since we don’t have many options.”
She therefore compiled a comprehensive list of EV charging stations, at the campground’s blogpost

Stallone said that with RV manufacturers making electric vehicles, she sees this need potentially becoming a trend. The list continues to evolve yet it is still evolving, she said, “We will update as we learn more.”
The Stallone family invites you to add to this listing if you know of any EV charging stations that are not included on their list, which they believe would benefit tourism traveling into the valley.
Stallone said that some campgrounds allow visitors to rent a campsite for charging an electric vehicle. She said that some local hotels allow visitors to run their cord into 110 outlets near your site or room.
