The end of the world? Hey, why not?

Everything else has been happening this year, why not Armageddon? There is a man named Paul Begley who says that’s exactly what is going to happen. He even has a date for the event: Dec. 21.

Begley bases his belief on, of all things, the Mayan calendar. Undoubtedly, something is missing here. Remember eight years ago, and the same Mayan calendar was about to end, and it was going to take the world with it. The year 2012 closed, the Mayan calendar ran out of time… and the world? Key point: that was eight years ago.

Now Mr. Begley claims that the Mayan calendar basically got it wrong in 2012. So the 2000-plus-year-old calendar gets a second chance to redeem itself, and this time… bang! Opps, there goes a popped weasel. The end of the world. The end of humanity, the plants, animals and everything that is earth — all gone.

Despite the things that are happening here, even an ending seems a little over the top. Maybe we’d settle for a reboot. A do over, and a “Hey, let’s try this again” sort of prediction.

Throwing the baby out with the bathwater? For some of you, that’s an old saying dating way back to even before your parents. Really, a prehistoric cliché. Agreed, this should be a trigger for the end of a lot of things, but the whole world is not one of them. People are not ready to throw in the towel. They are not willing to see their families, friends and everything that is holy and beautiful be destroyed. Instead, they are more than ready to see a mindset that is tearing the world apart be done away with. They are ready to see their world returned to them and to see this devastating virus be gone.

Isn’t there someone out there who can give us a prophecy about that? Someone who has more than doom and gloom to say about our future? Someone who can give us hope and make us feel like this is all soon going to a part of our past; and we will regroup, we will rebuild and we will reunite.

Well, wait a minute, you say. There are people who are talking like that every day. They are telling us that we will be okay, we will be better and we will reunite. Not them!

I’m talking about someone who knows what they’re talking about and can give us these reassurances with integrity and honesty and who sees the future as one of brightness and hope.

We need someone who can give positive prophecies and who will not sugarcoat the sugar. We need someone like… well, before his name is revealed, let’s think about this.

Such a prophecy has been in the works for over 500 years. There is an astronomical period of time that is thought to have a 2,160-year timetable attached to it. It is a time period where light and understanding are supposed to act in harmony with the universe, where worlds are supposed to come together in peace and love.

According to two leading astrologers, Terry MacKinell and John Addey, this period has a range of happening from the year 1447 to 3597. Another of their colleagues, Nicholas Campion, says to fear not because this period has already begun and will progress for 2,160 years.

Along comes a man named Samael Aun Weor, who narrows down the timeline.

According to Weor, the period began on Feb. 4, 1962. So what period of astrological development are we talking about? None other than the Age of Aquarius, of course. But there is a catch.

Not the doomsday catch like Begley is talking about — but before all of the love, appreciation, understanding, and peace and harmony can start, Aquarius has some mean business to take of. A cleansing, as it were. Apparently for the good stuff to come, bad stuff has to happen.

In this Age of Aquarius, great turmoil has to happen to make room for the new values of love, brotherhood, unity and integrity. Just like the song by the 5th Dimension says — the same song that debuted in the musical “Hair” in 1967, just five years after Weor claimed the Age of Aquarius began! Since that time, we have been experiencing the exposing of corruption, prejudice and suppression that Aquarius is supposed to take care of.

Now, in 2020, the climax of all of that cleansing? Okay. Why not? If so, then shortly the second half of our Aquarian rescuer will kick in and… bang! The moon is in the seventh house and Jupiter aligns with Mars, peace will guide the planets and love will steer the stars! The Age of Aquarius.

Hey come on…it beats the Begley scenario, and is just as plausible. You must choose. Just choose wisely. Wait, that’s another crusade.
