The Kern River Valley Bridge Connection, which just attained non-profit status, held its first official fund raiser, Saturday November 16.

There was a fall chill in the air outside, that day, when local Veteran Jim Wyly grilled many burgers made with meat Rankin Ranch donated.

The event included a silent auction and dessert cupcakes, corn hole games and specialty coffee drinks.

The KRVBC hopes to eventually provide transportation to those needing services at its new facility, in Lake Isabella, though the goal may take time to attain.
