South Fork Elementary School hosted a unique twist on thanksgiving on Thursday, November 21 by bringing back traditional elements used in the actual first thanksgiving feast held by the Pilgrims and Wampanoag Indians. Students and teachers were either dressed as pilgrims or Indians. There was Venison stew made by Mrs. Carver, cornbread, cranberries, seeds, and popcorn. Mrs. Carver read a book titled “Twas the night before Thanksgiving” to the students as they colored, ate, and happily talked.
