The Kern River Valley is AllFleet’s new hometown! The company is moving from Bakersfield as its owner, Edwin A. Berst, has decided to retire to the Kern River Valley to do automotive repair.

Edwin was born into the automotive industry and comes to the valley with 40-plus years of experience. His grandfather, Edwin Berst, taught the Women’s Automotive Power Training Program in Denver, Colorado, during World War II. His father, Nolan W. Berst, owned three 76 gas stations, a Chevron, and Thrifty Automotive in Bakersfield. At age 18, the youngest Berst owned a self-service gas station and acquired the business management skills he needed to open up a full-service gas station with a 3-bay shop at age 24. In 2003, he formed AllFleet Mobile Service, and in late 2003, he opened AllFleet Automotive. Now, in 2018, he is still serving Kern County.

Edwin is making his move to retire in the Kern River Valley because he has fond memories of catching his first fish at age 5 and because of the joy and love he remembers in the valley.
He is experienced in A/C and heating, timing belts, tune-ups, brakes, shocks and struts, and much, much more.

“I believe in honesty, integrity, and giving the most bang for your buck,” says Edwin. “I am retiring to the Kern River Valley to do automotive repair because I love my job.”
