LAKE ISABELLA — Kern County Fire Department and U.S. Forest Service crews responded to a vegetation fire at the Auxiliary Dam Campground near Highway 178 Wednesday afternoon.
The fire was reported at approximately 3:56 p.m. Aug. 5. The fire was visibly out shortly after 4 p.m., with crews remaining on scene working around a strip of burned vegetation near the Lake Isabella shoreline.
The acreage burned and cause of the fire were not immediately available.
