Bakersfield, CA — A new survey conducted by Guidant Polling and Strategy finds Stan Ellis leading the race for the upcoming special election in California Assembly District 32 (AD32). The full polling memo can be accessed by CLICKING HERE.

The poll, conducted between February 4-5, 2025, surveyed 637 likely special election voters via live calls to cell phones and landlines, as well as text-to-web interviews. The results carry a margin of error of ±3.88% at a 95% confidence interval.

Key findings from the poll include:

  • Ellis leads with 47% support, significantly ahead of the rest of the field.
  •
  • He is the only candidate with double-digit favorability, holding a +27 net favorable rating.
  •
  • Ellis is well-positioned to consolidate undecided voters and support from his opponents.
  •
  • The poll indicates a clear path for Ellis to exceed the 50% +1 threshold required to win outright in the February 25 primary.

Cole Rojewski, campaign general consultant, highlighted Ellis’s momentum and strength:

"Stan is a fighter who will bring common sense to Sacramento and reign in their out-of-control policies. Voters know he will defend our energy and agriculture industries while standing strong with law enforcement and rural hospitals. Stan’s traveling the district, meeting with voters, and building an incredible base of support. The enthusiasm behind his campaign is undeniable, and we are confident that momentum will continue to grow. As we enter the final stretch of the campaign, Stan will keep engaging with the community and earning every vote.”
