Kern River Valley bracing for wet and windy weather: CHP

Bakersfield, CA-Wind and rain are expected early next week for Kern County, with CHP Mojave reminding residents to take percaution and be prepared for the imcoming weather. 

Winds are expected Monday followed by a rain event on Tuesday into Wednesday. CHP Mojave is asking residents to take time this weekend to make sure you and your vehicle are prepared by

• Checking your windshield wipers and fluid
• Check your headlights
• Inspect your tires and brakes
• Top off fluids
• Keep and emergency/first-aid kit close by
• Know where to look for updated road closures
