Hit and Run closes down Young Ave and sends one to the hospital

LAKE ISABELLA, CA 9:30pm. A vehicle vs pedestrian hit and run sent one person to the hospital with unknown injuries on the corner of Lake Isabella blvd and Young Ave around 8:35pm which prompted the closure of Young ave for further investigation.  First responders were able to revive the victim and was quickly transported to the hospital for further treatment. No update on their condition was given at this time. 

UPDATE: Kern County Coroners Office has identified the victim as 65 year old Ronald Stewart Nevius Jr.  of Lake Isabella. He was transported to Kern Valley Health District Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. Next of kin was notified.
