Come join us for History Day, a free admission history celebration event at the Kern Valley Museum, Saturday, May 16, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.at 49 Big Blue Road, Kernville, California.

Celebrate with us the rich Native American, pioneer, ranching, filming and mining history of the Kern River Valley and Kern County.

Visit over 12,000 square feet of exciting, informative demonstrations, exhibits and displays about local area history, expanded for this event.

Feel the energy of the antique engines and tractors on display. See demonstrations of gold panning, blacksmithing, basket making, mule packing, spinning and weaving. Taste the Dutch oven cooking and hand churned ice cream.

Also visit the art gallery and gift shop on the Museum grounds.
