You may recall the park was pummeled and devastated during a year of harsh winter storms. Since then organizations have been forced to avoid using the park for gatherings, including the recent Rubber Duck Race fundraiser for Kern Valley Exchange Club and even more recently the Whiskey Flat Days events.
