KERNVILLE — The Kernville Chamber of Commerce says many of the Christmas lighting items stolen from Circle Park earlier this week have now been returned, calling it “a Christmas miracle.”
The theft happened overnight between Nov. 19 and Nov. 20, and included about $3,800 worth of lights, extension cords, spider boxes, and wiring needed to power the event.
Chamber officials said the theft set preparations back several days, but community members quickly stepped in with donations, equipment, and funding to keep the event on track. Residents and business owners helped replace critical components.
The Chamber has also launched an online donation page, “Donate to Christmas in Kernville,” on the Explore Kernville website.
Chamber leaders say the celebration will move forward as planned. Law enforcement is still investigating the case, and people of interest are being pursued.
This is a developing story.
