Stanley Ray Harrington, 73, left this world peacefully December 18, 2018, at his home in Weldon, Calif., after a long fight with liver cancer. Stanley was born August 29, 1945, to Henretta and Bert Harrington in McAlister, Okla. He graduated from Clovis High School and had gone into the military service where he served in Korea 1965-1968 and was honorably discharged. He worked and retired as a welder for the local UA 290. He was often known for his 1947 “Hooterville” bus that him and his son lived in for years traveling all over the country, until finally settling down in Weldon, Calif., where he loved to work on project vehicles and spend time with his son, who he also considered his best friend. Stan touched the lives and hearts of everyone that ever met him. He was a great father, brother, mentor and friend, and he will be truly missed and impossible to forget.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, January 26, from noon to 2 p.m. with a balloon release at 2. The address is 5291 Hooper Rd., Weldon.
