The Kern Valley soccer teams were supposed to begin their season on Thursday. This did not happen as the Air Quality Index came into play. This never came about as the Kern High District made the decision to cancel all sporting events under their supervision. With the AQI sitting at a high number it was done to protect the athletes.
This was the only non-league match on Kern Valey’s schedule as they played their first match on Tuesday when they made the trip to Mammoth. They will go on the road to take on Bishop on Thursday. This will begin the HDL season for the Kern Valley squads.
