Sidney Keith Bailey was born on September 17, 1950, to Donald D. Bailey and Betty June Smith, and passed away at home on May 14, 2018, under hospice care.
In 1958, when he was only 8 years old, the family moved to North Hollywood, Calif. To try to make a better life for them all, he spent time in Idaho, Oregon and Washington State. Then, in 1972, he and his buddy went on leave to his buddy’s home town and he met the love of his life, Eloise Markley, and soon after they were married. That lasted 34 years.
Sid worked at a recycling plant and drove a forklift for 24 years. Sid loved to go fishing, hunting, bowling, eating out with family on birthdays, playing cards on some Saturdays, and going down to the VFW post and playing pool with his brother, Don, and friends.
Sid was preceded in death by his wife, Eloise Markley, of Williamsport, Pa.; his dad, Donald D. Bailey, Sr., of Dayton, OH; his brother, Wayne Bailey, of Bodfish, Calif.; Grandma and Grandpa Smith of Dayton, OH; Grandma and Grandpa Bailey of Dayton, OH; and lots of aunts and uncles.
