The Wallace Middle School seventh-grade volleyball team was able to get past South Fork in the battle of the valley. The match had to go three sets before a winner would be decided.
Wallace took the opening set by the score of 25-14, but the Lady Mustangs battled back to tie the match at 1-1. South Fork won the second set 25-13 to send it to the deciding set. The see-saw contest in set three was not decided until the score was 16-14. This score favored Wallace as they had tucked away the match.
The Lady Colts was able to put the ball in play on their service. This allowed the defense to perform and give their offense the opportunity to create scoring chances. As a team they recorded 42 made serves. Wallace had 17 serving aces in the match. They were led by Maddoxx Armes with seven total aces. Savannah Olague served up six aces. Charlet Eastes delivered a pair of aces, while Dani Brooks and Riley Gibson have one ace apiece. Eastes led the offense in kills as she put down a total of five kills in the match. Trinity Shepard had one kill for the Lady Colts.
