It’s with the deepest sorrow that we announce Seth McCullough, beloved son-brother-grandson and friend, went with the angels on Wednesday, July 29, 2020, after battling with terrible seizures. Seth was born in Bakersfield, California, and lived his whole life right here in Kern Valley.
Seth was deeply committed to sports. And at a very early age showed his talents, and abilities with any kind of ball. He loved baseball, basketball, and football. He could run like the wind, and was a mighty miler in kindergarten, then as a young ball player, he could steal those bases like a thief in the night. Seth enjoyed the things most 16 yr old boys do. He loved animals, video games, riding his bike, and spending time outdoors. Seth was also committed to his friendships, and focused on them being life long.
Although only 16 at the time of his death, Seth affected many people in his short lifetime. Those that knew Seth even just a little, lost a shining light in their lives. We will reminisce about his ever present smile, and the warmth, and depth behind it. If you were lucky enough to know him, he was truly a delightful, generous, easy going, fun loving human being. Seth had so much goodness, such a capacity to bring happiness to others, such a bright future ahead. This world is a lesser place without him.
Seth is survived by his most cherished best friend, and mom Tiffiny, his best friend, coach, and dad Christopher, and equally best friends his sister Alexandria, and brother Jacob, his grandma Sharon who loved him dearly, Grandfather Allen, Aunts, Uncles, cousins, and friends, too many to mention here. Seth has gone with his brother Kurtis who preceded him in death, and awaited him at the gates of Heaven.
We are having a celebration of his life Friday August 21 at Rivernook Campground in the meadow. At 10 a.m.
