The Kern River Valley Chamber would like to welcome four new members, Grocery Outlet, Notorious Entertainment, Julie Jones Home, Ranch & Commercial Realty and All Paws Go to Heaven Animal Cremation.

We are still working on our goal of 100 flags, for just $25 per year you can show your community spirit, honor veterans and celebrate major holidays with your name on a flag that is displayed on Isabella Blvd. on every major holiday.

The Chamber is still accepting nominations for the Man & Woman of the Year. This year’s dinner will be held on January 14, 2020, at Paradise Cove. We all know someone who is selfless and goes above and beyond for our community, do them the service of nominating them for this honor. Nominations must be in writing and include the reasons the individual should be honored. Deadline is November 22, 2019. Please drop the nomination off at the chamber office or email to

We are gearing up for the KRV Christmas Parade held on the Saturday following Thanksgiving, November 30. This year’s Grand Marshal is Mr. Joe Ciriello proprietor of Golden State Surplus, an extremely active member of this community and a board member on multiple organizations throughout the Kern River Valley. I want to say congratulations, your continued behind the scenes efforts benefit our community.

KRV Christmas Parade, there is no entry fee to enter a float, group or organization in the parade unless you enter after the deadline of Nov. 22. This year’s theme is ‘Happiness is Believing,’ so let your imaginations run wild get your friends or team together and enter this great event. The Chamber of Commerce is seeking award and trophy sponsorships at $25. Your name will be announced during the parade and in the Sponsorship Thank You online and in print. Be part of what makes this parade so awesome each year, entry forms are available in the chamber office or online and will be included with our Lake Lines newsletter as well.

This month’s general meeting will be held on November 13, 2019 @ 12:00 p.m. at Paradise Cove in the upstairs dining area. Our guest speaker will be Sgt. Patrick McNeal our new Sergeant for the Kern Valley Sheriff’s Department Substation, please be there to show a strong support for our men in blue and what we can do as a community to assist our law enforcement in improving the Kern River Valley together. This event will be catered by Cody Preston of Sierra Gateway Market in Kernville, please RSVP with The Chamber to ensure you have a meal waiting.

Congratulations to Kernville Chamber for hosting the Fall Festival again this year which was two days of great music and events, plus the fantastic weather kept the park buzzing with attendees.
