Thank you to Dawn and Elise from the Starlite Lounge for sponsoring this year’s Cork N Fork event benefiting the 2019 Fireworks. The event was held at the Meadow in Rivernook Campground, Kernville, on Saturday. The $30 entrance fee included eight wine tastings provided by coastal wineries and eight food tasting provided by local eateries; what great fun. The Chamber extends a huge thank you to all the attendees as well. The event raised $6,770 for the fireworks show.
The Kern River Valley Chamber welcomes new member, Ross Elliott, a very active community leader and volunteer. We have three new American flag sponsors: Happy Feet Dance, Betty B’s Justin Tyme Vacation Rentals and ADT Security. We are still working on our goal of 100 flags. For just $25 per year you can show your community spirit, honor veterans and celebrate major holidays with your name on a flag that is displayed on Isabella Blvd. on every major holiday.
The Chamber is still accepting nominations for the Man & Woman of the Year. This year’s dinner will be held on January 7, 2019, at Paradise Cove. We all know someone who is selfless and goes above and beyond for our community. Do them the service of nominating them for this honor. Nominations must be in writing and include the reasons the individual should be honored. Deadline is November 30, 2018. Please drop the nomination off at the chamber office or email to firstname.lastname@example.org.

This year’s theme is ‘The Magic of Christmas,’ so let your imaginations run magically wild. We are seeking award and trophy sponsorships at $25. Your name will announced during the parade and in the sponsorship thank you online and in print. Be part of what makes this parade so awesome each year.
