Hello residents of the Kern River Valley,
Winter has finally arrived and our first opportunity for rain has come and gone, now is when all of us need to prepare for what is coming in the not too distant future. We have a couple months of cold weather headed our direction and let’s pray for snow in the high country so we get some water in the river and see our beautiful lake rise once again.
I want to thank the following companies and or individuals for joining the Kern River Valley Chamber of Commerce family this past month, Kern River Rain Gutters, Riverstone Wellness, Kern Initiative for Talent + Entrepreneurship (KITE), Caty Payne & Mrs. Jamie Ward. Welcome to the family and please remember to utilize your chamber as we are here for you.
I want to say I am writing this presidents message with a heavy heart and humbled mind at the same time. I have had the privilege of serving as the Kern River Valley Chamber of Commerce President since August of 2019, hard to believe it has been five and a half years of serving our community but I want to say thank you for all of your support with the good or bad decisions made during my presidency. Your chamber will be conducting its annual elections for its board of directors on December 11 at 12:00, if you are an active member please cast a ballot for who you would like to represent yourself on the board of KRVCC as they need your guidance as well.
Thank you Mickie Phillips, Christmas parade committee team & volunteers for the hard work and another successful Christmas Parade. Now we move on to the Great Cookie Contest and Tree Lighting event which will take place at Kern River Dental, let us hope this is an annual event to spread a little cheer in Lake Isabella.
Thank you for taking the time from your day to read this little blurb from a person who is proud to have had the privilege to say YOU allowed me to serve the KRV, I am not stopping from serving but I am hoping to slow down just a bit. OK maybe not but it sounded good.
Remember to utilize your chamber, we are here for you and here to serve.
Fred Clark
