A new adventure will take place this Saturday at the Kern Valley High School tennis courts. The Mt. Mesa Men’s Club in conjunction with the KRV Pickleball Club will be holding the first of what is hoped to be an annual event.

This will be time for all those interested to come out and watch how the game is played and what it takes to become a pickleball player. The action will begin on Saturday at 8:30 am and will continue until all the divisions have crowned a champion team. Then the following day on Sunday, it will be the mixed doubles portion of the tournament. Once again play will start at 8:30 am. It will also conclude with the medal ceremony for the top three teams.

So, bring your chairs and watch the latest sports trend happening in our valley. You might find yourself wanting to get in on the action and prepare for the next time a pickleball tournament comes to town.
