Three juveniles arrested

A number of bullet holes can be seen in the window of the Reel Cinema theater.

On March 1, 2017, deputies from the Kern County Sheriff's Office Kern Valley Substation arrested three juveniles for numerous felonies related to the arson investigation on Evans Road, the shooting at the Wofford Heights movie theater and numerous burglaries and vandalisms that have occurred in the Wofford Heights area.

A bullet hole can be seen through a poster for the upcoming movie, Wonder Woman. The bullet pierced right through were Wonder Woman's iconic bracers are located. There were nine in total.


Deputies arrested two 13-year-old males and one 14 year old male for charges including arson, multiple counts of burglary, multiple counts of felony vandalism and the illegal discharge of a weapon. These arrests were made after a lengthy investigation conducted by deputies from the Kern Valley Substation. During the investigation multiple items of evidence and stolen property were recovered.
The investigation is ongoing and deputies anticipate additional charges. Deputies are attempting to identify additional victims in the area.
