On Saturday, Sept. 8, children and adults alike learned about electricity and magnetism from Doug Duvall, who presented on the various types of magnetic metals and currents of electricity during the library’s first STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts and Mathematics) Club meeting at the library in Lake Isabella. The children even attempted to build a battery using only lemons, copper wire and nails to conduct electricity.
The next meeting of STEAM Club is Saturday, Oct. 13, at 2 p.m.
