Last KVHD meeting regarding funding

Press Release

The last public meeting has been scheduled before the Board of Directors vote at their August meeting. This is your opportunity to provide input and learn about the changes that have been made.

Kern Valley Healthcare District has continued working on our future hospital expansion plans to meet the communities request for an updated emergency room which will provide our patients the necessary privacy along with a more efficient emergency room visit, as well as meeting the required earthquake regulation deadline of 2030.

With the failure of last year’s Parcel Tax Measure, Administration has been and continues to meet and listen to our communities concerns and suggestions to move the Kern Valley Hospital forward for the next 50 years. We held four open houses during the month of June. We are holding one more community meeting on Thursday, July 26, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Senior Center. This is the communities last opportunity to hear about the changes we have made and to speak directly with Administration and our Board of Directors before our August 1 Board meeting.
