Lady Broncs take two in league

The Lady Broncs jayvee volleyball team had an away game against Desert on Oct. 17 for our seventh High Desert League match of the year.

The Lady Broncs defeated Desert in three games by scores of 21-25, 25-15 and 15-11. The Player of the Match was Brenna Acosta. She achieved four of her personal growth goals, which were to get 15 perfect passes, two aces, five kills, and two blocks.

The team achieved 19 percent of their 41 personal goals during the game.

Kern Valley competed at home against Frazier Mountain on Oct. 19 for our eighth HDL game.

This was our final home match of the season.

The Lady Broncs defeated Frazier Mountain in two games 25-17 and 25-20.

The Player of the Match was Haily Martinez. She achieved two of her three personal goals by making 10 aces and three digs.

The players on the team successfully achieved 34 percent of their 41 personal growth goals.

The Kern Valley squad played at Rosamond on Tuesday. They will be at Cal City Thursday.

The Lady Broncs current record is 6-2 in league, and they are competing for the top spot. The team is in control of its own destiny going into the last week of the season. Winning the last two matches will guarantee them the HDL title.
