Kern Valley’s varsity softball squad continued its run through the league.
Playing two games this past week, the Lady Broncs slipped by Boron and dominated Desert. They defeated the Lady Bobcats 6-3. They would follow that up with an 11-3 win over the Lady Scorpions. With these victories Kern Valley moved to 4-0 in the HDL and improved to 8-5 overall. Both of these games were on the road.
No other information was made available for the Boron game.
In the game versus Desert, the Lady Broncs jumped out early and then cruised to the win. A seven-run first inning propelled Kern Valley to the easy victory. They added two each in back-to-back innings. They scored these runs in the fourth and fifth innings.
Kern Valley pitching limited the Lady Scorpions to just five hits. No individual information was made available for this game.
The Lady Broncs took on Frazier Mountain at home on Tuesday and will be at home again on Friday when Rosamond comes calling.
