The Lady Broncs soccer team had a successful week as they were able to pitch two shutouts on the pitch.

Kern Valley made the trip to Mojave to play in a non-league contest. Two days later they were on their home pitch squaring off Boron in a High Desert League match.

The Mojave match was a nail-biter as the two teams played excellent defense. Neither team was able to put one in the net in the first half. The halftime score was tied at 0-0.

In the second half the Lady Broncs put themselves in the lead as they found the back of the net with a shot. The defenses turned everything else away the rest of the match. When the end had come, Kern Valley had saddled the Lady Mustangs with the 1-nil loss.

When the Lady Bobcats came to town, Kern Valley wasted little time in putting up points. They were able to penetrate the Boron defense and score three times in the first half.

It was another stellar defensive effort by the Lady Broncs as they held their opponent scoreless in the first half.

In the second half of the match, Kern Valley was able to put three more shots into the back of the goal. The Lady Broncs defense continued to thwart Boron on each and every attempt. In the end it was an 8-0 win for Kern Valley.

The Lady Broncs are sitting in fourth place in the HDL with a 3-2-2 mark. They are 5-2-2 overall on the year.
Next up was a match at home versus Desert on Tuesday. On Thursday they will make the trip to Frazier Mountain to take on the Lady Falcons.
