The Lady Broncs began the CIF Central Section Division 5 playoffs at home on Tuesday.

Slated as the No. 5 seed in CIF D5, Kern Valley who finished the regular season at 17-4 was back at it again with their rival. Bishop would be coming back to town. Bishop is the No. 12 seed.

In their two prior meetings Kern Valley completely dominated the Lady Broncos.

Coming off the holiday break, the Lady Broncs made the trip to Bishop and made easy work of their opponent. The final score of the game played on Jan. 8 saw Kern Valley win 48-7.

Three weeks later on Feb.1, the two teams met in the Bronc-o-Dome on Senior Night.

Kern Valley sent their senior players off with another crushing performance. The final score was 70-33 for the hometown squad.

If the Lady Broncs are fortunate enough to gain another victory over their rival and move to the second round, they would face the No. 4 seed East Bakersfield High / No. 13 Kennedy (Delano) winner.

The playoff game would be played on Thursday with the site to be determined.
