Kern Valley head coach Brent Mixon commented on the meet by saying, “This week we scored well, but we just came up short. Even though we fell short, we still had some really good performances. Arika D’Amico dominated the distance runs, and Bella Williams still continues to dominate the 100 and 300 hurdles. We are continuing to see growth in our ladies. As we head into HDL prelims and finals we have several Broncs that are going to make a run at being an HDL champ. It is exciting to see how much our girls have grown this season and making a strong finish at the end. As of now we have eight Lady Broncs qualified for the All Sierra meet and one (Rachel Driskell) who has qualified for the All Area meet which will be at Bakersfield High School in May.”
