Chamber of Commerce
Dear Kern River Valley Chamber of Commerce Members and residents of the Kern River Valley, With so much uncertainty in today’s news, the only thing definite about the Coronavirus is that every resident and business has been affected in one way or another. We know each and every one of us is dealing with difficult decisions and trying to decipher the daily changing updates coming from the department of health and our government officials. It is so much to deal with all at once!!! Some individuals and businesses have reached out to the chamber seeking advice.
The best guidance I can share at this time is to use this downtime to catch up on tasks, make repairs, and plan for recovery as we move forward. I know we all have that “should do” list that never seems to get done because we are too busy trying to keep up with the “must dos.” A break in business and stay at home order gives us the opportunity to get caught up and be well prepared to do business when travel becomes safe and commerce starts up again. We can use this time wisely and productively. We’ll be back in business soon and the Kern River Valley will be just fine! Fred Clark, President Kern River Valley Chamber of Commerce
