The junior varsity Broncs baseball squad found some offense as they collected a pair of wins.
Kern Valley played Kennedy on Wednesday and took the game 7-4. They followed that with a victory over South in a high scoring affair. The final score showed Kern Valley winning 20-13.
In the game with Kennedy, the Broncs started quickly as they pushed four runs home in the top of the first. They added a pair of runs in the second to take the 6-0 lead. Kennedy scored two runs in the third to cut into the lead, but the Broncs added an insurance run in the fifth to put the margin at 7-2. Kennedy got a couple of runs in the fifth, but it was not enough, and the Broncs had earned the victory.

The following day, the Broncs faced of with South High. Kern Valley came to bat in the top of the third trailing 7-3. They exploded for 13 runs to blow open the game. They sent 17 batters to the plate in the inning. Kern Valley had nine hits and took advantage of two errors to keep the inning alive.
The Broncs in their next at bats added four more runs to make the score 20-7. The Rebels tried to make a comeback in their half of the fifth as they scored six times to close the gap. The rally was ended and the Broncs had taken the win.

The Broncs began High Desert League play on Tuesday as they made the trip to Bishop. They will be at home on Friday when Desert comes to town.
