Kern Valley competes at Corcoran

The varsity Lady Broncs basketball squad competed at the Corcoran Tournament.
They would split their four tourney games to begin their season.
They opened play at the tournament against Wonderful College Prep Academy (Delano) On Nov. 29. They came away with the 64-47 victory to start their year on a winning note.
Kern Valley would follow that up with their second straight win over Woodlake on Nov. 30. The Lady Broncs collected the 60-42 victory to move to 2-0 on the bracket.
The following day they faced off with Tulare Union. Kern Valley would fall 19-points short as The Tribe would win the tournament game 51-32.
Kern Valley played one more game in the tournament on Dec. 2. They went up against Wasco’s Lady Tigers.
The two teams exploded for 139 points in the contest with Wasco earning the 78-61 victory. With the loss, the Lady Broncs sit at 2-2 on the year.
Note: No individual stats were made available for these games.
Kern Valley played McFarland on Monday as they traveled to take on the Lady Cougars. Look for game results in next week’s issue of the Kern Valley Sun.
